--Sept. 11, 2001...

At first, I wasn't really aware of the attack of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. It was about 6:45 in the morning when I got up and got ready for school. The t.v was on in the living room as I started eating my breakfast. My grandma always had watched news in the morning. I was kinda busy eating when watching the news hearing something about planes being hijacked and crashed. At first, I thought it's the Muslims getting problems with other people from Israel. Actually, there are a lot of problems in the Middle East to be exact.

Anyway...I just finished eating when I noticed the familiar Pentagon. I was wondering what happened to it. Then I saw two planes crashing into these towers. At first, I didn't recognize the towers right away since i've only visited New York once and that was about 6 years ago and I'm all the way in Hawaii. Then I finally recognized it was the World Trade Center. It was realy scary on how the plane crashed into the twin towers causing it to collapse. The people running made it seemed like Godzilla the Sequel. Only thing is, this is reality. When I came home, I spent most of the day watching the horrible scenses over and over again of the planes crashing into the Trade Towers. My mom heard about it way earlier as she had woke up in about 3 in the morning (9 in New York Time).

God bless those who lost their lives and for those who had lost your loved ones. May you always be in America's prayers...

While the attacks on September 11th were going on, I was asleep because it was 3 am here in Hawaii. The phone rang and it was my Uncle calling me to tell me that we were was being attacked. Still half asleep, I panicked, and asked why they were attacking Hawaii. But he quickly responded, "No,they're attacking the world trade center." I turned on the television and was shocked at what I saw. As I was watching, I saw the second plane hit..and I just couldn't believe that I was actually watching it happen. Throughout the day, I remember feeling scared and paranoid because no one knew if they were going to attack the U.S. again. I just hope that everyone will get on with their lives, but never forget what happened and who lost their lives on that fateful day.

I was late getting up for school that day. I had woken up and turned on the T.V. Then proceeded to the bathroom to get a hairbrush. I saw the first tower had been hit. I didn't think much of it at the time. Than when I almost ready to go, thats when the second plane hit. I didn't know what to think. My mom decided not to send me to school that day. I ended up watching T.V that day, just to see what would happen. I cried for the people who were there. Little did I know my Uncle was on the 99th floor of the first tower that was hit.

I am currently a 10th grade student, but on the morning of September 11th 2001 i was a terrified little Freshman who had just started highschool and that was my biggest worry in the world. As I sat there in my English class looking at the clock way too many times another English teacher came into the room and told my teacher that the World Trade Center had been "bombed".. I live in MA about 25 miles north of Boston and there is a World Trade Center in Boston, i got very nervous because i thought thats what she was talking about. When the bell wrang i heard everyone in the halls talking about it but none of us really knew exactly what happened. When i finally got home from school that day i saw my mom in front of the TV crying and i asked her what was wrong? she explained what really happened and i was absolutely shocked. So many things ran through my head! I sat there glued to the TV for a couple hours and let it set it. I felt so much hurt inside for all those people who lost someone they loved that day, and didnt even get to say goodbye, and i had so much hatred for the people who did this to our country...now i cant believe its been a year, it doesnt feel like that long...i saw this quote and i think it's really fitting for september 11th and i thought you all might like it..."Sometimes, no matter how much faith we have, we lose people. But you never forget them. And sometimes it's those memories that give us the faith to go on."
