On the morning of September 11th I took my children to school around the corner from my home. Then when I came home I turned my television on and sat to watch the Today show. Then breaking news came on, a plane crashed into one of the towers. Local news was saying at first that it was a small aircraft. I called my husband at work and told him to turn the news on right away just then another explosion. Clearly I saw A large airliner slammed into the other tower. Then we knew America was being attacked. I live on the other side of the Hudson River and can see the City clearly from my back yard. I ran out and saw the towers on fire. I was afraid there would be more attacks then ran to the school to get my kids. Just as I got to the school there were many people by the school staring at the other side of the river in shock and disbelief. As we all stood there watching the horror it all of a sudden seemed as if the whole city was in smoke. We didn't know what happened. We thought there was a third attack. Everyone was screaming. The city was completely covered in smoke. I ran home with my kids and turned the television on and saw that one of the towers collapsed and the city was covered from smoke. I went back to my backyard and saw the second tower collapse with my own eyes. My knees then gave in and I fell to the ground. I was completely in shock. I had so many feelings at that time. I was full of anger and I was very sad at the same time. That night I had no sleep. I was glued to the news just as most of the world was. I got calls from worried family members all over the country. They knew we frequently went to the city and have gone to the Twin Towers many times. Ironically we were there only 3 days before the attacks. I thank God everyday that we were not there on that day and I pray for all that were. We must never forgot what happened that day. We must never forget all the children that don't have Mommys or Daddys anymore. We must never forget!

I had just got to school when I saw a teacher watching t.v. in the library. At first I thought it was an action movie I asked her what was that and she said that there was a terriost attack on the world trade center. I was shocked because I remember that there was another terriost attack at WTC couple years back. Then I remember seeing mr. Kagemoto and two other librians come out of the office to come watch it too. Everyone was glued to the t.v. as they watched the horror unfold before there eyes.massive explosions people running for there lives it chaos. Then the whole day at school we just talked about the attack on America. I pray that nothing likethis happens again.

The day when it happened I only noticed it when i was at school when students were talking about it. I didn't believe them because they always make any kind of jokes. When period one started all the students in my class were very quite and I wonder what was they doing. When the class begins my spanish teacher told us to write 1 page reaction in spanish. So i did, i told her that i didn't know that it happen. So all day we was talking about that terrorist attack. I hope nothing will happen like this again not even a small thing. So I pray Lord to guide all of us.

Early on September 11th my 17 month old daughter woke with a bone chilling scream NO! NO! NO! I thought she was having a nightmare, she couldn't and wouldn't be comforted but after five minutes she went back to sleep and so did I. She happened to sleep in later than usual so instead of turning the tv on to Sesame Street at 8 am I was checking my email. As I scrolled down my start page I didn't even stop at the news section I headed straight to the stock market report and couldn't figure out why the Market hadn't changed. It was a Tuesday and no holiday I could think of. As I scrolled back up the page my eye caught the picture of the smoking Towers , I immediatly turned on the tv and the horrible reality hit me full force and suddenly inside my head was the echo of my daughters early morning screams...NO! NO! NO! Still to this day I can't shake that feeling whenever I see pictures or hear stories. In retrospect my daughter woke up screaming about the same time the first tower was hit we live in Las Vegas, 3 hours earlier than New York. I now wonder if it was a coincidence or if it was that wierd 6th sense little children seem to have early on. Whichever it will certainly be a very live memory in my mind forever.

I was getting ready to go visit my brother and I was sitting in front of my dresser putting on my makeup and my TV sits on it.....I was watching channel 13 and they said "We have breaking new" I was thinking it was an somthing to do with trafic or the weather....but no.....they showed the World Trade Center on fire and I was like in shock. They said that a plane crashed into the building and they don't know anything else. About and hour later I sat there and watched the second plane go into the second building and I sat there and watched thousands of people die. I just started crying and I will never forget that day! I might not live in New York but I live in America!! Everybody is affected by September 11th. Also my boyfriend is a US Marine and we are affected by that too!! I pray for all the families who lost loved ones that day!! ~*Nicole*~
