September 11th, 2001... I was in my biology class, talking to my best friend about my sister's wedding shower the following weekend (sep.15th)and another teacher told my teacher to turn on the t.v. When he did, everyone in the room went silent. And my heart sank to the bottom of the floor. I have always wanted to live in New York City, it is my dream place. And it always will be. That day changed my life in so many ways... at first I wanted to scream and cry in sorrow and pain, then I wanted to put my fist threw the wall, and then I began to get worried for my older sister and my uncle... My uncle worked in Washington D.C., and was on his way to work... about a block away from the Pentagon. And my sister lives in Chicago, so i was worried that maybe it would also be hit... thank god it was not. September 11th made me realize how little time we all have on earth, and how petty, stupid arguments and complaints are just not worth it. We should spend our time loving one another, not hating. I do not hate the Taliban, I hate what they stand for, but I do not hate them. If you have hate like that in your heart, then you can never truley be happy and at peace. And despite everything, I am still going to New York City, and I am still going to live in that rat-infested apartment that I have always dreamed of, because noone can take away our dreams.

September 11 2001 I was at school in Columbia Tennessee. I went into my second block class (French) and my teacher was showing it on the tv. All it was showing was the planes hitting the towers over and over, i cried,, then were heard the stories of people jumping out of the towers and then the images of the collapses it truelly scared me no one know what to expect and still don't 8 months later. We are now at war with the people who did this to us,,,, and my father (in the army) is there... God Bless America

On September 11, 2001 I was home in Waipahu,Hawaii sleeping when all of a sudden we heard the neighboors screaming like they were watching a good scary movie. When my mother went and asked them what happened they said the twin towers just had got bomed. My mother and I being that we are from New Jersey and know a lot of people that go to New York Every day we were afraid. So we called everyone we new my dad didn't answer, my sister nor my mother's friends. At this point we just sat and listened to every word and name the news said for the next day untill everyone returned our calls we were a little relived. But I wouldn't really call it releif because alot of our close freinds were missing people we didn't know them but it still hurt us to see this has happened to America. I thought it never would i just hope everyone finds peace and joy

I heard about this attack form my aunty. I woke up around 6:00 a.m. Hawaii time. I was
getting ready for school and then I got a call from my aunty. She told me when is your
mom them coming back home? The reason is because my mom was in Las Vegas and she
was coming home the next day. So the my aunty said “well... I don’t think she’s coming
back tomorrow....! because.... there’s a terrorist attack right now. And so she told be to
put on the news. Once I turned on the T.V. it was already on the news. So that’s when I
saw the Towers in smoke. And the reporters taking about what just had happend. So I
was really shocked, worried and scared. So then I did go to school and all day at school
everyone was talking about it.
When school was done, I went straight home to call my mom at Las Vegas. I told
her if she had heard what had happend. She said “ Yeah.... I heard it on T.V. down at the
casino. Everyone was looking at the T.V.” So I asked her if she was coming home? She
said she didn’t know, because of what happend. But then the next day she did come
home.
So this attack did affect my family and of course to the whole world.

it was september 10th about 10PM, i had been traveling across the united states for about 20 hours, with my step mom and my baby sister, we were on our way to Virginia.my sister and i had fallen asleep in the back seat. it was now September 11th, and i woke up to the sound of the radio, all i heard was "a plane had crashed into the world trade center." over and over.it was a tragedy but i didnt realize how serious it was at the time...i could see nothing,i could only hear what was going on. all i remember was that something terrible had happened and it was not going to end with just this incedent.then we heard a plane had crashed into the pentagon in washington D.C. instantly i thought of my unlce who works there as a computer tech. person in the army, or something and that i had to get ahold of him.later we found out that he was on the other side of the pentagon at the time. i realize that my family was luky in this situation unlike many others. my grandma had been traveling from iowa on a plane to california the exact day and my mom had gotten ahold of her and she was safe at a airport in St.Louis. i know that my family was fortunate in this situation and not many were. this was and still is a terrible memory that everyone now has to live with. i never thought i would have gotten the chance to see what a real war was like and i have never wanted to, but now its happened!!!
