It was my second day of school and I didn't have class until 1:00pm so I planned on sleeping in. My phone rang at 9:00. I have caller ID and it said out of area. I wasn't going to answer it but something told me to. I answered it and it was my dad. My dad works in World Trade Center four on the top floor. I'll never forget how calm he was. He said, "Allison, listen to me carefully, a plane has hit the WTC." I was like what? This is unreal. He instructed me to turn on my TV and call my mom at work to tell her he was ok. I told him that I loved him and to come home. I called my mother and put on the TV. I could not believe what I was seeing. A couple of minutes after that I watched the second plane hit the second tower. I hung up with my mother and started calling my father frantically. Knowing my father as well as I do I knew he would stay, I beeped him 10 times with Daddy please come home and I love you. This was my only contact that I had with him. I was all by myself just crying hoping that I would hear from him. After both of the towers had collapsed I thought for sure that my father had been a victim. Then the phone rang, it was my father. He had gotten on the ferry boat and was safe. He said to me that if it wasn't for me beeping him he would have stayed and tried to help everyone but he knew I needed him. I am soo thankful. I pray every night for everyone that was not as lucky as I was.

September 11th turned out to be a normal day for me. I was at school and my teacher was taken attendance, when another teacher came in to say, "Did you guys hear ? One of the World Trade Center buildings got hit." When I first heard him say that, I thought it was nothing more than an accident. After the attendance was taken, I walked over to the room next door, and turned on the T.V. I was watching CNN when the man was talking and a plane came out of the corner of the T.V. and slammed into the Second Building. My mouth dropped in such shock that I could not belive what had happened. as I sat there in shock, unable to move but what had happened, The man came onto the T.V. again saying that the pentagon was on fire and that the cause was unknown. I knew from there on that something was not right. I had the feeling of being scared and anger inside of me and they all came out at the same time. After that I had heard something else had happened with another plane and they were not giving very much information on it. After the shock was over I called in some friends as we watched the worst thing since Pearl Harbor unfold. We sat there and kept watching then all of a sudden I hear the announcer say " Oh My Gosh. Oh My Gosh" as the second tower was collapsing. Again the anger came over me. I watched as the Scene unfolded as the people were running in the streets. Just then the second tower collapsed and all I saw then was smoke. I knew right then that this was going to be bad when everything was all sorted out. I went through school the rest of that day not doing any work. My eyes were fixed on the T.V. all day. When I came home there was a big guess that gas would jump up to high amounts. Normally in my area it is about 1.25 these days but gas had jumped up in some stations to 8.00 dollars or higher. There were lines at the gas stations with low gas prices. During that time I was began to be intrested in the Law Enforcement feild. My friends who were cops said that the traffic at the gas stations were nothing like they had ever seen before. The days after September 11th were weird. I seen the Stock Market close on days when it was suppose to be open. I seen pieces of the World Trade Center begin to be removed as they found victims. I also seen a President who only half the country liked begin to get backing for the nation as he brought the nation together, and now as I Graduate as the Class of 2002, the Class of Septemeber 11th, I realize that when my kids ask me what I did on that day and what it was like, I will always remeber the victims of september 11th and the events of that day.

I heard about this incident on that same day at 6:25 a.m. That was after my seminary class. I heard it on the radio in the car when my mom picked me up from my seminary class. When I came home, I watch the news and it shows how the World Trade Center collapse. The two airplanes crashed into those two buildings. It also shows the Pentagon being attack, when the other plane crashed into it. I didn't know about the last plane crashed at south west,P.A. since two days after the Sept.11th attack. I was shocked about this attack, and I hope thier building a new World Trade Center with a big marble inside both buildings with all the names that died on the Sept.11th attack.

I was at work at around 8:30 on September 11th. I was leaving early that day to drive from Virginia where I live to Atlanta because I had Braves tickets for the next day. My job is collections over the phone so I call people all over the country and this one guy said a plane hit the World Trade Center. I thought it was just an accident. I had no idea at first how big it was. Then another lady told me a plane had hit the Pentagon so everyone around that time had gotten off the phone and was listening to the radio and all kinds of reports were coming in. People were telling all different stories. pretty soon my whole building was in the cafeteria glued to the television. I had recently bought the movies "Thirteen Days" about the cuban missle crisis and thats how I felt. People crying and staring in disbelief, not knowing what was coming next. Well I still went to Atlanta that day and the whole trip down there was surreal...just listening to the radio. I felt like the entire day was just some big movie, and though I wasn't directly involved with anything about September 11th, I was still greatly affected by it like every American. I just want to say I feel for everyone who lost family and friends that day. I have felt anger, sadness, asking myself why over and over....all those people who didn't have to lose their lives and did. I know that I'll never be the same.
