I am a Swedish Canadian and I was woken up in the morning by a friends phone call telling me to watch CNN.

I switched the television on just minutes before the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower.

As I watched the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower I grinned widely and said to myself "It finally looks like the US is getting their just deserts!"

I was exstatic! I was not happy about the deaths of the civilians, but I was very happy that the US has gotten their black eye. Perhaps, i thought, now poeple will begin to pay attention to the atrocities the US commits in the mid-east and around the world.

September 11th, 2001. A joyus day for me!

I will never forget that September 11. That was a horrible time for Americans. I will always think about the people and heroes that died that day. I was riding in my car this morning on my way to the college I attend and every radio station was talking about that terrible day and I cried all the to school.

I will never forget those that died September 11, 2001!

Around 8:46am, I arrived at the Pentagon Metro Station to catch the subway to my job at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. Once at work, I learned that one, then another, passenger plane had slammed into the World Trade Center. At 9:40am, my office building, located across the Potomac River from the Pentagon, shuddered. Instinctively, I looked out my office window. All I saw was enormous ball of black smoke and red/orange flame. I began to cry...

It was my junior year of high school and I was in my 2nd period English Class and the whole school was interrupted with our principal on the intercom and he announced that both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked

I can remember it so clearly! I never knew the impact it would make! I was confused about how one airoplane could fly into one building and not crash into others aswell. My friend got a txt from her aunty saying it had happened and all the boys in my classes were saying right people we're going to war! My mums friend pickked us up from shopping and took us to the airport to pick up her husband! We got to the airport and were listening to the news on the radio. When i got home i got in and found my mum crying on the sofa! i sat down n watched the news with her. I cried when i saw images of what had happened and i felt so guilty because i had shrugged it off! That night i prayed for a long time that night that everyone would be safe even though it was obvious people had died i just wanted to make things better!
