My name is Josh and I live in California. On September 11, 2001, I woke up, not knowing I left my radio on and fell asleep to it, and the DJ kept saying for like 8 times or so "I can not believe that this is happening in our country." Then he finally said that the WTC and the Pentagon were hit then I went to turn on my tv, and that is when the other tower got hit. A lot of my teachers were surprised that students came to school.
I almost lost 2 friends that worked at the WTC because after the first 6 months to 1 year, he started coming to work like 15 minutes late everyday. My 2 friends got to work RIGHT when the towers were falling down because they were wondering why everyone was running and trying to get to anything that could have remote covering.
That is my story about where I was and my thoughts on September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001 I was with fifteen other people rafting down the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River. When we came out on the morning of September 13 and we were told of the events in New York and Washington, D.C. we were very skeptical and confused by what had been told.
We were still quite far from the bus and were taken there by jet boat. During this ride almost everyone was silent. Once we arrived at the bus we were given copies of various newspapers. After reading the accounts of the horrible and cowardly events I, for one, began to cry, as did some others in our party.
During the bus ride back to Las Vegas everyone poured over the newspapers and read with mouths agape some sobbing in disbelief myself included.

My name is Mags and I live in Canada. I woke up and turned on the tv and that's when I saw the second plane hit the second tower. There was no volume because I always turn it down the night before. I thought wow what great effects it looks so real. I wanted to know what movie this was so I turned it up. And that's when the people on tv were saying that they couldn't belive what was happening and then I clued in.
THIS WAS REAL! OH MY GOD HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE IN THAT BUILDING?
Then they went on to say the the first building was hit as well.
OH MY GOD ALL THOSE PEOLPLE!! GET OUT OF THE BUILDINGS!! JUST GO!! DON'T LOOK BACK, JUST GET OUT!!
Then the first building fell.
ALL THOSE PEOPLE UNDER ALL THAT!! THEY WILL NEVER GET TO THEM. PEOPLE GET OUT OF THE SECOND BUILDING!! RUN!!RUN!!RUN!!
Then the second building fell.
SO MUCH DUST!! THEY WILL NEVER GET TO ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ON TIME!! ALL THOSE INNOCENT PEOPLE DEAD!!
Then I heard that another plane went down at the Pentagon.
OH NO! NOT MORE LIVES! THE U.S.A. IS UNDER ATTACK SOMEONE WANTS WAR. WHO COULD DO SUCH A HORRIBLE THING? WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A HORRIBLE THING?
Then I heard that another plane went down in a field.
WHAT WENT WRONG? I'M SURE THAT THAT PLANE WAS SUPPOSE TO HIT SOME BUILDING THAT MEANT A LOT TO U.S.A. THE WHITE HOUSE!! I BET IT WAS SUPPOSE TO HIT THE WHITE HOUSE!! THANK GOD IT DIDN'T MAKE IT!! BUT ALL THOSE PEOPLE GONE!! THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE TO WORRY WHETHER OR NOT MOMMY OF DADDY IS ALIVE. THE WIVES/HUSBANDS THAT HAVE TO WORRY WHETHER OT NOT THIER HUSBANDS/WIVES ARE DEAD. OH GOD PLEASE HELP THEM GET THIER ON TIME!! PLEASE GOD NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE DEAD!! PLEASE!! THAT'S TOO MANY PEOPLE!!
And then an estimated count was in over 5000 people missing.
GOD HELP THEM TO GET THE PEOPLE WHO PLANNED THIS AND GIVE THEM THE SAME RESPECT THAT THEY GAVE ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO DIED......KILL THEM....KILL THEM ALL.................

i was sleeping then i woke up and i was playing on my computer and when i got to yahoo it siad like 5 planes crashed into the world trade center at first i didnt think it was true then i went to watch tv and on the news it siad that it was true and i couldnt belive it bin ladden is going to rought in hell oh wait he already is in hell comon he sleeps in a cave while i sleep in a house.

I was at work when I found out what happened. I called my wife who stayed at home sick to turn a news. A while later our boss called a department meeting and stated that our plant suspends all operations effective immediately untill next day, September 12 with possible make up at Saturday, September 15th. Since I didn't know what can I do to help, I decided to go to the nearest Red Cross blood draw station to donate blood. So we did.
