I was at home feeling sick when I decide to check my e-mail. I log on and there's this huge thing about how the towers have crashed down into the streets of nyc. I couldn't believe it. At first I thought some hackers logged into my isp and hacked the server. so then I go to the tv, turn on the news- sure enough this wasn't a joke. this was real. then the phone rings. my brother says he's coming over with my nephew. they show up and we drink coffee and sit in front of the tv mesmerized as my six year old nephew plays as if nothing has changed. It was a crazy feeling. Just thinking how much I love new york city, I couldn't believe this was happening right in the heart of the city. One of my favorite movies Arthur with Dudley Moore, and i just kept hearing that song play in my head.
If you get lost between the moon and new york city.... I know it's crazy ..but it's true.. if you get lost between the moon and new york city .. the best that you can do is fall in love.
We are stronger now and we will never forget.

I was working from home on my computer like any other day when my husband called me and said, "Turn on the tv..." I didn't want to stop what I was doing but he insisted that it was important. When I turned on the tv, the WTC had a gaping hole in the side of the building. Then I watched in horror as the 2nd plane hit the other tower, and the Pentagon was hit, and the plane in PA crashed, and the towers fell. My husband decided to pick up our daughter at day care and come home. At about 11 a.m., we realized that his parents were in NYC and that his father had an interview just two blocks from the WTC. We frantically tried calling their cell phone but could not get through. For about a half hour, we weren't sure about the fate of his parents. Then finally we heard from them. They were just blocks away in a cafe when the planes hit. They were able to make it uptown to my brother-in-law's apartment safely. We spent the rest of the day calling and emailing our friends and relatives to make sure that everyone was okay (we have several friends and family memebers both in NYC and DC). Then for 4 days, we watched the news and wept with the rest of the nation. We grieved for those who weren't so fortunate and thanked G-d that our family was safe.

On Sept 11th 2001,I was at school.I never found out about the events until I returned home. My mum and Dad had the Tv on and as soon as I got in they told me about it. At first,I wasn't really sure about it because I had never thought about terrorism. When I saw the footage of the planes going in2 the towers,I was shocked that anybody could do that. That night I went to my friends house and When I came home all other tv programmes had been cancelled and I watched the special news programmes. It was then I found out about the pentagon and Pennsylvania.I was really shocked and could not believe it.

On Sept 11 2002,I was off ill school with an eye infection and I watched the Live TV from New York. Now I am a year older I understand a bit better about what happened and feel more sadness towards the victims.I cried during a service 2day as it was so touching.
