When I heard about the terrorist attacks my sister had come to bring me to the doctor. She told me and my first instinct was "Whats the World Trade Center?" Then I was shocked that these things could happen and not just in movies. Then I got mad. "Why don't we just bomb them all?" I wondered. Then I realized that might start a World War 3.
My sister told me that my Uncle Rick was at the Pentagon that day. I was scared. I waited in silence watching the news. We got a call saying that he was okay later that day. I've got a motto 'everything has a purpose even when it happens to you'. I think 9/11/01 has made us all better people. I extend my apologies to all the families of the people who died that day.

My opinion of September 11, 2001.
Where axactly I was I don't know. I do know however that I was in class. I didn't know exactly what was going on eather. One of my teachers ran all along the halls screaming the tracic news all over the sixth grade. It
scared me at first. I mean thinking about a "tourest attack" was scary stuff. The day went by in the flashes of a blink. Everyone got on buses and in veicles and everyone was talking about it. That is all I heard, until
I arrive home and my mother and father who are usually are at work were standing at the front door crying.
I droped my bookbag on the floor and we went to visit my grandparents.
A year after the accident (today)
I am proud to say that I am a proud AMERICAN and living well.

We Are Still Standing
Death hung thick in the air.
Fire blossomed and smoke rose.
Twin giants shuddered in pain.
People screamed in terror.
The first giant faltered and fell.
And its brother collapsed in grief.
Survivors and rescuers emerged.
Each of them painted gray with dust.
Black and White ceased to exist.
Creed and Gender faded into oblivion.
And humanity stood tall in the debris.
The buildings have fallen.
But we, the people, are still standing.
