i was getting ready for school when my mom came into my bedroom and told me to turn on the Today Show. i turned it on and just as i did the second trade center got hit with another plane! shocked to say the least i just sat there doing nothing transfixed to the tv, praying that it was just a fluc but it wasnt. apalled at the thought that someone hated the United States of America that much to decide to hijack 4 planes and run them into The Trade Centers, the Petagon, and into penselvaina.
my brothers were in The Trade Centers when it happend. one servived the other one didnt. the thing to always remember is the good times that u had with a loved one that died in the trade centers or the pentagon or penselvainia. even if u didnt have a famliy member or a friend die in one of thoughs places pray for the people who did. we cant let this get to us! we must fight for justice! the people who did this r sick and demented, and they can not walk away from this. we MUST catch them! plz never forget the Trade Centers and the lives of the people who died that day!

I FIRST HEARD ABOUT THE SEPTEMBER 11 TRAGEDY FROM MY MOM. I GOT UP IN THE MORNING TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL, WHICH IS RIGHT AROUND THE TIME MY MOM GETS HOME FROM WORK. WHEN SHE CAME HOME SHE SAID THAT I WASN'T GOING TO SCHOOL. THEN I WAS LIKE WHY NOT, THEN SHE TOLD ME THERE WAS SOME KIND OF A TERRORIST ATTACK IN NEW YORK. SO SHE SAID I COULDN'T GO TO SCHOOL BECAUSE PEARL HARBOR IS CLOSE TO THE SCHOOL AND SHE DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE OF LETTING ME GO TO SCHOOL AND THEN SOMTHING HAPPENS. SO THATS HOW I HEARD ABOUT IT. I ALSO FEEL VERY SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO HAD LOST SOMEONE IN THE TRAGEDY.

September 11th started out as any other say would start out.I walked my way to school and so on.I went through first period just feeling all gloomy.Than I went to my second period class. My teacher was teaching like usual. Then a knock came on the classroom door.A fellow teacher had walked in the classroom. He whispered something to my teacher and I remember my teacher was looking directly at me.When the teacher told her what happened I just tears roll down her eyes. She was just in shock. That's when I heard that an airplane hit the World Trade Center.I was like oh my god, because my aunt worked like blocks away.Through out the day people were getting called down to the office.I passed the office and say kids crying learning that their parents and friends had died. The day went on with rumors of 4 more planes flying. So I came home and saw the news.I saw these graphic pictures and footage of planes hitting the buildings and people jumping out of the World Trade Center.I was horrified that day and did not move from the TV until 3 a.m. the next day.September 11th lies in my mind and heart and always will cause it's the footprint in time..the day the earth shook..and the imprint in my mind.

On September 11th, 2001, my generation's Pearl Harbor, I was at school during 3rd period (which is Art class). The interpreter came into our room and said "Tower 1 Of the WTC has just been hit!!" I laughed, and so did my friends. We were in such disbelief. And then, our principal came on the PA system and let our whole school know about the horrible news. At that point we walked acroos the hall and watched the television in disbelief. When the 1st tower fell, I wanted to cry, and then, moments later it seemed, the second taller came tumbling down, and my heart came down with it. I was so amazed that there was someone out there able to come up with this diabolic and fiendish plan. Someone who was sick enough to enjoy watching thousands of people die, and thousands of others go through immense pain and trauma.
These events hit so close to home because our stockbroker works for Merrill Lynch, and ML had several offices in the WTC. I started crying, because I thought that he had been there that day. I had my mom call to make sure he was ok, and it ended up he was in another city, but he was fine. He returned our call when he got back.

Nearly 9 months after the attacks, I still see the pictures in my head of the towers going down. The image that still sticks to my mind is the image of a couple holding hands and jumping to their own deaths( off of the North Tower). I cried so much after I saw that because it was so emotional, so emotional that a couple knew that they were going to die, so they wanted to do it together.
I hope nothing like this ever happens again.
