I WAS AT GREENE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WITH MY SON WHO WAS HAVING TESTS.WHILE I WAS WAITING ON MY SON,NURSES AND DOCTORS STARTING RUNNING BY ME ,I THOUGHT THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY IN THE HOSPITAL,SO I FOLLOWED THEM TO A VERY CROWDED WAITING ROOM,WHERE EVERYONE SURROUNDED A TV AND RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES THE SECOND PLANE HIT ,NO ONE SAID A WORD ,YOU COULD HAVE HEARD A PIN DROP,IT WAS ONE OF THE SADDEST THINGS I HAD EVER EXPERIANCED.AT THAT POINT EVERY ONE REALIZED IT WAS NOT JUST A PLANE CRASH,IT WAS A TERRORIST ACT.

On the day -9-11-01, I was sleeping when my husband woke me up and told me to look at what is happening on the T.V.
I sat up to see the second plane hitting the building, I asked my husband what he was watching, what movie was it, all he said was that it was not a movie that two planes just crashed into the World Trade Buildings in New York City, I could believe all I could do was sit there in amazement, then I started to cry, I never thought anything like this would ever happen in my lifetime. I still get a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat whenever I see anything on the attack.
My heart goes out to the families who lost someone in the attacks, may God be with you.
I would also like to say how proud I am of the people of America on pulling together and becoming stronger.
WE are united and always will be, forever.
Proud American,

I WAS WAKING UP RATHER LATE THAT DAY. EVERYONE WENT TO WORK. I WAS GETTING COFFEE READY WHEN I TURNED ON MY COMPUTER AND THERE IT WAS. JUST AFTER THE 1ST PLANE HIT. I WAS SPEECHLESS!!!
I FELT VUNERABLE AND DID NOT EVEN WANT TO GO OUTSIDE FOR FEAR OF THE SAME THING HAPPENING HERE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. WE ON THE WEST COAST WERE JUST AS MOVED BY THIS AS THE REST OF OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. WAVE THAT FLAG AMERICA! WE ARE THE GREATEST AND MOST LUCKY COUNTRY IN THIS WORLD!
GOD BLESS US ALL!

When we first heard, My fiance and I had just dropped off our 3 year old son at school and we were having a disagreement, of course I don't remember what it was about. Then, the radio morning show guys mention a plane just hit the world trade center. We listened intently on our ride to work, not knowing what was happening. When I got to the office co workers were huddled around a radio and said the second tower was hit. I immediately turned on my radio and listened all day as events unfolded. I felt uncertain and angry at the same time as I heard of the terrorist attacks. It astounded me that people could be so evil to plan such an catastrophe on innocent humans. I went home, drank a few scotches, and watched the news all night. Oh yeah, we played with our son, who was too young to understand. We sheltered him from all the TV reports. Who can understand? I feel so much pride for our country now, which we all take for granted too much.
